Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born in Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a primary school teacher in Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack for athletics early on discovering her ability to sprint when she attended the Los Angeles Baptist High School. She came second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in only 10 weeks, after her very first tryout. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003 signed the sports contract with Adidas. After that, she attended the University of Southern California and completed her studies in elementary education. One year later Felix earned her first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking a junior world record by taking 200 metres within 22.18 seconds. She was the world's youngest champion in 200 meters at the Helsinki World Championships. She won the title again in 2007, beating her longtime Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix consistently placed within the top third in each of her races in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
