Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey, an African-American author, is more well-known for her ex-wife comedian and television host Steve Harvey. She decided to keep her personal life a secret and away from the media. Steve could not enjoy the fame he is currently enjoying, yet they had been married 14 years. Rumours have circulated in Hollywood about the motives behind their breakup. Many believe that it was due to Steve Harvey's cheating, while others attribute it to his decision to pursue a comedy career. She met Steve a few years later at a party hosted by a mutual friend's event. They became inseparable, and they got married in the year 1980. The couple had twins in 1982. Steve worked as an insurance salesman. But, by the time they were born, Steve began to lose interest in his work and decided to pursue an entertainment career, especially stand-up comedy. Marcia ultimately filed for divorce on the 23rd of March 1993. Marcia had to go to the courts following her divorce as well as Steve Harvey's refusal of child support and alimony payments.
