Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe, born August
26, 2002, is an American musician and singer. His single from 2019
"Ransom", was his breakthrough single. It peaked at number 4 on the
Billboard Hot 100. The single was included on his debut mixtape , We Love You Tecca
(2019) which peaked at number 4 on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also
included the singles "Love Me" and "Did It Again". The
debut album of his studio called Virgo (2020) it debuted at number 10 on the
Billboard 200. It also featured the Billboard Hot 100-charting singles
"Dolly" & "When You Down". The second mixtape, We
Love You Tecca 2, was released in the month of August 2021. It included
"Repeat It" and "Lot of Me". Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe is
the son of Jamaican immigrants. He was born August 26 2002 in Queens, New York
City. Sharpe was raised in Springfield Gardens a neighborhood of Queens which
he later moved to Cedarhurst in Long Island. Sharpe has always dreamed of being
able to make it into the NBA as a child However, at the age of 12, Sharpe
decided to pursue his profession in music. He was a student at Lawrence High
School. Tecca was nine years of age when he began rapping on his Xbox. One of
their tracks about diss was posted to SoundCloud several years ago, however it
has since been deleted. At first, he did not intend to pursue an aspiring
career in music, but instead wanted to be an NBA superstar. He began to pursue
music more seriously after the time he stopped playing basketball at the age of
middle school. His first single to become well-known, "Tectri", was
composed in collaboration with Lil Gummybear and released in the beginning of
2017. Other tracks from his early days include "Callin". One year
later his career was beginning to gain momentum with the hit single
"Ransom", which was released on Cole Bennett's Lyrical Lemonade
YouTube channel on May 22nd, 2019. It peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Hot
100 charts and has been played over 900 million times on Spotify and more than
300 million times on YouTube.
