Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh,
North Carolina, on September 7, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a stage
actor and writer, while her mother Sara Wood is an actress and acting coach.
Her brothers who are older than her are Dana Wood, a musician and Ira David
Wood IV who also have been actors. Evan and her brothers have performed in the
Theatre In The Park, Raleigh in the same place where her father serves as the
director. She was five when she auditioned to play the character in Interview
with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). She relocated to Los Angeles
with her mom and brother Ira in 1996 . She's had success ever since and has
been featured in a variety of TV series, TV movies as well as feature films.
She appeared in Practical Magic (1998) as Al PacinoĆ¢€™s daughter. The comedic
S1m0ne(2002) followed by Thirteen (2003) with Holly Hunter. Her role in the
film's breakout performance in the film as Tracy in "Thirteen" was
rewarded with an award. Golden Globes nomination for Best Performance by an
actress in the genre of Motion Picture: Drama and for an Screen Actors Guild
Award nomination for Outstanding Performance by an Actress Female in an Leading
Role. She was the first actress to be nominated for a Leading Role award at the

Supporting Actress in an Miniseries or Movie" for her portrayal of Veda
Pierce in the HBO miniseries Mildred Pierce (2011). Acclaim was also awarded
for her role as Stephanie (Mickey Rourke's ex-wife) in Darren Aronofsky's The
Wrestler (2008). She is the daughter of Sara Wood and Ira David Wood III. Ira
David Wood III's younger sister. She has been trained in dance. She is a lover
of dancing, sing, rollblade, and ride horses. She has a black belt in tae kwon
do. She keeps in touch with many of her Once and Again (1999 castmates: Mischa
Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
